A Little Wedding Planning!

So it's been awhile since I've posted anything and I don't really have a good reason! I began my wedding planning adventures last month with the purchase of my wedding gown.... well my mother's purchase of a wedding gown! I won't go into detail on it, just in case the fiance decides to read this! A few weeks later I went to the Bridal Extravaganza Show to scope out a few vendors. (Here's a picture of my bridesmaid Morgan and I at the Bridal Show)
We found a couple restroom trailer vendors, the restrooms are almost nicer than the ones in my home! We haven't booked them, but they are on the list. We also met a photographer that I was referred to by a couple of friends. The next step was a meeting with her. My mom, Dalton, and I met her one Saturday afternoon, and we booked her right then and there. Her name is Michaelle Janet and her company is Tresor Photography.
We scheduled our engagement session for next month, and were super excited! I'll be even more excited if I can purchase the cowboy boots I've had my eye on by then! About a week later we met with a florist. This was a meeting I wasn't expecting!! We met her at El Palenque for a margarita, BIG mistake. She had one too many and we ended up knowing her life story by the end of the meeting. I also didn't get the feeling she was going to use flowers I wanted or make arrangements from the ideas I was having. We went ahead and had her give us a quote, so we at least had something to compare others too. Which brings me to this evening, my mom and I met with another florist called Striking Stems. They were very professional and I got the feeling they were going to do what I wanted. I gave them some photos of ideas I had and flowers I liked, and now we're waiting to see how there quote looks! Be back with more soon!

I Heart Planning Parties!

After a few months of planning my good friend Tabitha's Lingerie Party, it has passed. Along with my friend Morgan, we attempted to throw a "surprise" lingerie party, but some surprises aren't meant to last! Although she knew a few details of the party, she was still surprised and excited to see all the detail and guests that showed up!
Here are a few photos of the Margarita inspired fiesta!

Happy Birthday to ME!

Oh man! My 25th birthday was last Thursday, May 7th. I was definitely feeling the old age Sunday after a 3 day nearly non stop celebration. Started off with dinner and margaritas on Thursday evening with family and family friends. Moved on to Friday where I had the day off :) Soaked up some sun with Dicharry alongside more drinks. Then it was on to Blake and Jill's house where all the friends had gotten together to celebrate with me. That night didn't end until 6:30 the next morning! Then it was my bright idea to go to Galveston Saturday morning after 3 hours of sleep or so! Not only did we soak up the sun on the beach, but then went to the Strand to shop a little, then to dinner, and then back to Spring to go to the bar! By the end of the night it was evident I had had a lack of sleep and excessive amount of alcohol that weekend! Thanks to all who celebrated with me on my tiring but fun filled birthday. Enjoy the photos!

Trip to Shreveport

Two friends and myself took a road trip to Shreveport, LA this past weekend. We went because another friend's father had passed away and she was left responsible to handle a lot of stuff on her own. I wish there was more we could have done! Here are some pics of the killing time wandering around Shreveport portion of the trip....

Something I Like...

Trials are sent by God to cause us to stand. Temptation to sin is sent by the devil to cause us to stumble. One is meant for our maturity. The other is meant for our misery.

Dalton had just gotten his truck back 3 days prior after it being in the shop for 2 years. It still needs alot of love, but it is his baby and he is very proud of it. Paws for Pancreatic Cancer!

JOIN MY TEAM, ANDY'S ANGELS!!!!!!!!!

This is probably the event that I am most excited for this year! My grandpa passed away from pancreatic in June 2006, and ever since I have been wanting to dedicate more of my time to organizations associated with this cancer. Well it wasn't until now that I have found anything in the Houston area that supports pancreatic cancer. With that being said please join me and Chevy in honoring all of those people and their families that have suffered or are currently suffering from the disease. Click the link below to join my team, Andy's Angels, or make a donation to the cause. We hope to see you May 9, 2009 in the Paws for Pancreatic Cancer Walk!
